A new connection between the virtual and IRL NFT experience?

Anecdotally, NFTs only exist as digital experiences. Sure, NFT events have regularly helped bridge the gap between the metaverse and IRL, but trading NFTs, interacting with the NFT community, and accessing blockchain technology mostly happens behind the scenes.

If we consider the large the potential of NFT tickets in the context of live music, it wouldn’t be too presumptuous to assume that there will be even more use cases for the connection between NFTs and personal experiences in the near future. And as developers and artists alike build toward integrating NFT into real, everyday life (that’s the goal SoulBound Tokens), one of such initiatives of the entertainment brand live arts Secret Walls has caught the attention of the collective NFT community.

Live street art and…NFT?

In partnership with Palma, a a leading technology company which embeds brands in Web3 and NFT, and without code NFT and Web3 platform MoonwalkSecret Walls has launched a free, limited edition digital art series and rewards program. The initiative, which combines utility-based NFTs with the Secret Walls Support Your Local Artist (SYLA) tour, is set to give fans the chance to gain exclusive access to special prizes.

The SYLA tour itself promises attendees concert-like “battles” where artwork will be judged by these free-to-issue NFT holders as well as a live audience. Each piece will then be donated to a local charity.

As free NFTs become more popular, this venture comes at a time when crypto and NFT shares remain low, but community sentiment seems to be on the rise. And with NFT trading slowing down over the past few months, Secret Walls’ multi-city tour provides the perfect incentive for collectors to get out of their homes to join like-minded art enthusiasts in celebrating local artists while being rewarded.

By joining the Secret Walls Rewards program, fans have the ability to collect SYLA tokens, which can bring exclusive benefits such as event tickets, access to premium content and discounts on limited edition products. Fans only need to mint NFTs from the collection to be eligible and will have the opportunity to collect more pieces from the series by physically attending Secret Walls IRL events.

Beginning on August 13, Secret Walls will bring the SYLA Tour to more than 35 cities across the US and Canada, but NFT supplies will likely last throughout the tour. To learn more about the tour and the free NFT rewards program, visit Secret Walls website here.
