Crypto Lender Voyager’s Clients Object to Employee ‘Retention Award’ Offer

Voyager, which is currently in bankruptcy proceedings in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, has asked a federal judge to approve $1.9 million of its “Key Employee Retention Plan” (KERP) funds, which means bonuses for 38 employees who the company claimed they were vital to its continued business and restructuring. The Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors – Voyager’s customer group – objected on Friday, saying Voyager employees were “already well compensated” and arguing that the company had otherwise done little to cut costs.
