Iconic animated Hollywood character Betty Boop is first in the metaverse with the launch of ‘Boop & Frans,’ an exclusive NFT collection. Fleischer Studios, Inc., owners of the classic character, is teaming up with brand licensing agency Global Icons, LLC, and XLABEL, a Web3 consulting team, to release 8,888 unique NFTs featuring Betty Boop.
The NFT collection will feature stylized digital fashion apparel and accessories inspired by classic cartoons, designed by MYAMI Studio, known for creating digital haute couture that can be worn and changed in virtual reality. The official NFT collection was minted on August 9, 2022, known as the official “Betty Boop Day” and the anniversary of Betty’s big screen debut in 1930.
‘Boop & Frens’ NFTs will offer multi-layered utility to holders. From virtual wearable access to unique fan experiences in the metaverse.

The Betty Boop NFT Collection was created with the support of numerous metaverse communities, and more partnerships with creators will be announced via the official “Boop & Frens” Community Discord.
All collaborations will be consistent with Boop’s core values and hopes (as noted by Fleischer Studios), including an open technological and cultural metaverse. Furthermore, plans include creating an ongoing virtual location and live stage celebrating entertainers, artists and musicians from all over the metaverse, hosted by Betty herself.
