New American Express credit card allows customers to earn crypto rewards that can be traded over 100+ cryptocurrencies – highlights about Bitcoin

American Express and Abra are launching a new credit card that will allow customers to earn rewards for cryptocurrencies “traded in over 100 different cryptocurrencies” without annual or foreign transaction fees.

American Express and Abra are launching the Crypto Rewards credit card

American Express (Amex) and crypto trading platform and wallet supplier Abra announced on Friday the upcoming launch of the Abra Crypto Card on the American Express network. Abra described the new card as:

The first crypto rewards credit card on the American Express network that will perform transactions in US dollars and offer crypto back for any category of purchase and amount.

“Crypto rewards will be traded in over 100 different cryptocurrencies supported by Abra, with no annual or foreign transaction fees,” the crypto company said in detail.

The Abra Crypto Card will offer several benefits from the American Express network, including Amex offers, access to pre-sale tickets, global dining benefits and shopping protection, Abra adds.

Mohammed Badi, President of Global Network Services at American Express, commented: “One of the ways we support the evolution and innovation of commerce is to make it easier for fintechs to develop and scale innovative payment solutions using American Express’ global payment network and Amex / i2c platform. ” Amex CEO added: “We have a long-standing relationship with Abra through our Amex Ventures investment portfolio.”

Interested customers can now join the waiting list for the card, which Abra expects to be “available for the first time in late 2022.”

In addition, the crypto firm on Friday announced a new feature for buying and selling fixed tokens (NFT) “with managed custody and [a] gallery of the complete collection in the Abra application that will eliminate hassles and minimize the risks of using defi [decentralized finance] wallets. ”
