NFT-turned-digital dance, 11APE signs with E11EVEN Music, delivers debut single, ‘Bad Girls’ : Dancing Astronaut

We live in the year 2022, where the lines between real life and the ever-expanding “metaverse” continue to blur in new ways, seemingly by the day. The newest commodity on the scene is 11APE — Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT rebranded as a music group, 11APE, now signed to E11EVEN Music, a new branch of the famous Miami nightclub E11EVEN. Additionally, 11APE delivered the project’s debut single, “Bad Girls” alongside Vicina, a Latin EDM artist signed to Pitbull’s independent label, Mr. 305 Records. To simplify: the nightlife brand was acquired by NFT, which is now a digital music group producing music, helping to launch a new label subsidiary under the umbrella of the nightlife brand. We are officially living in the future.

“Bad Girls” is a reflection of the times, says Gino LoPinto, operating partner of E11EVEN Music and E11EVEN Miami. LoPinto said EDM.com“After we bought Bored Ape Yacht Club #11 and put an E11EVEN hat on it, the ape was revived and 11APE was born,” adding that 11APE is now, “officially out of the metaverse.”

While digital or visual artists are a relatively new, as-yet-understood endeavor within the ever-evolving digital media landscape, highly publicized results recent Capitol Records signing, and subsequent split, with “AI rapper” FN Meka continues to evolve, highlighting the more controversial perspective of this emerging trend. While it remains to be seen how dance music will embrace this new trend, the 11APE project has turned in a tasty new house track that seems like a perfect fit for the club – it’s likely to get plenty of airing at venues like, say, E11EVEN Miami’s famed dance floor .
