Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirms he will continue to buy and support Dogecoin – Altcoins Bitcoin news

Tesla and Spacex CEO Elon Musk has reaffirmed his commitment to dogecoin (DOGE). He confirms that he will continue to buy and support meme cryptocurrency. The price of dogecoin rose after his statements amid the fall of the crypto market.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed his support for the meme cryptocurrency dogecoin several times this weekend. On Sunday, Musk tweeted that he would continue to support DOGE. He also indicated that he would continue to buy mem coins.

On Saturday, Tesla’s boss also mentioned DOGE on Twitter in response to a tweet from Dogecoin co-creator Billy Marcus, stating his “desire” for people to use DOGE “for something beyond pumping and throwing… so there’s reason to exist.”

Musk tweeted that dogecoin could be used to buy goods at his companies, Tesla and Spacex, hinting that more could be offered “below”.

Tesla started acceptance dogecoin for some goods in January. Last month, Musk said Spacex will soon accept DOGE for merchandise and Starlink subscriptions could soon follow suit.

At the time of writing, DOGE is trading at $ 0.062662, up 25% in the last 24 hours but down 30% in the last 30 days.

Musk has long been a supporter of dogecoin. He is known in the crypto community as the Dogefather. He believes DOGE is folk crypt and there is potential as a currency. In contrast, he said bitcoin is more appropriate as a a storehouse of value.

Tesla’s boss also revealed earlier that he was personally owns some DOGE next BTC i ETH.

Last week, a dogecoin investor sued Musk, Tesla and Spacex to promote crypto memes. A $ 258 billion lawsuit alleges that Musk and his companies “falsely and deceptively claim that dogecoin is a legitimate investment when it has no value.” The prosecutor claims that Musk, Tesla and Spacex are “included in the crypto pyramid scheme (also known as the Ponzi scheme) through the dogecoin cryptocurrency”.

Musk also hinted at cryptocurrency payments last week will be integrated on Twitter if his offer to buy the social network is successful. However, the deal of 444 billion is currently on holdand Musk has accused Twitter about material breach of their merger agreement.
