TravelX announced on Monday that it has partnered with Air Europa to release the world’s first collection of airline tickets without interchangeable tokens (NFT) or “NFTickets”. The owner can issue an appropriate plane ticket with the presentation of NFT, the company says.

TravelX claims to be building a travel industry first blockchain-based distribution protocol. While Air Europa is the third largest Spanish airline flying to over 60 destinations worldwide.

The statement explains that with the purchase of NFTs called “Art as a Destination”, ticket holders will gain access to a special Air Europe flight to Miami Beach on November 29 and the premiere American art exhibition to be held in December this year. in Miami.

NFTickets were created in a series of 10 in partnership with various artists, and will be released every 14 days via TravelX’s auction platform. The auction was announced on April 11.

TravelX said that similar to traditional NFTs, NFTickets individually are rare and are recorded on the blockchain.

The company clarified that when the owner can issue an appropriate airline ticket by presenting NFT.

The curator of the NFTicket series is Ximena Casinos, who commissioned the first piece from renowned multidisciplinary artist Carlos Bentancourt.

NFTs are forged on Algorands blockchain-negative carbon technology, which is energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
