WWE signs long-term contract with fanatics to promote official goods, trading cards and NFT – Blockchain Bitcoin news

The media and entertainment company World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc., otherwise known as WWE, has entered into a long-term partnership with the global digital sports platform Fanatics. Under the agreement, Fanatics will collaborate with WWE in a variety of endeavors such as officially licensed merchandise, merchant cards and irreplaceable tokens (NFT).

WWE is focused on selling irreplaceable tokens (NFT), and on March 28 the company signed a long-term contract with the digital sports platform Fanatics. The company is run by Michael Rubin and it offers licensed sporting goods through Fanatics Commerce, collectibles, merchant cards and NFTs through the company’s NFT platform Candy Digital.

WWE wrestling company will work with Fanatics Commerce, Fanatics Collectibles and Candy Digital. “Fanatics is an industry leader, and Michael Rubin is a visionary,” said Vince McMahon, president and CEO of WWE. “We believe this multi-platform partnership will set a new standard for WWE e-commerce, clothing and merchandise, while providing our fans around the world with more ways than ever to socialize with WWE and our superstars,” McMahon added.

The partnership with Candy Digital Fanatics is not WWE’s first foray into the NFT industry. Last October, WWE announced long-term contract with Fox Entertainment and Bento Box Entertainment (BBE). The agreement with Fox and BBE states that this will be a multi-year contract and that WWE NFTs will be forged with Eluvio’s blockchain technology. WWE’s latest contract will enable Candy Digital to become one of the indispensable technology partners of this wrestling company.

“Under the pact, later this year, Fanatics’ digital collectibles company, Candy Digital, will become one of WWE’s primary NFT partners,” Fanatics revealed. “Candy’s team of world-class digital artists, designers and technologists will curate and build a range of high-quality NFT trading cards with WWE’s greatest moments and stars.” During the announcement, the executive director of Fanatics, Michael Rubin, said that the well-known entertainment company is a perfect fit for the global digital sports platform.

“WWE is one of the most respected sports and entertainment venues around the world, and it made perfect sense to activate many parts of our global Fanatics platform to create a first-of-its-kind, comprehensive experience for fans,” Rubin remarked. “From e-commerce and licensed merchandise to merchant cards and more, we will offer an amazing array of opportunities to help passionate WWE fans around the world celebrate their favorite superstars, tent events and the WWE brand in general.”
